Yesterday was a long day. The oncologist called us first thing yesterday morning to make certain we understood how serious the situation is. They gave him antibiotics all day and his fever did break yesterday afternoon. He was much stronger by the end of the day. He was able to talk a little. In the morning he had not been able to talk at all.
But yesterday afternoon he white blood cells were 30 something. Everyone including Johnny said this is very low. We are now having to wear masks while we are in his room. I think means he has no resistance of infection at all.
Lye just got to the room this morning and she says he is much better and can talk pretty well. I am sure he is still in a very dangerous situation, but he continues to get stronger.
We are taking it day by day, but so far so good.
